800--and Counting

The “70-something” statistics tell me that this is my 800th blog post.  I don’t know how this has happened.  I write twice a week, and the weeks have turned into nearly eight years.

Whether you have been with me from the beginning or are a newer reader, I am grateful for your time. I hope my observations about my 70’s decade resonate with some of your own experiences and that they will continue to do so.  Or if you aren't 70 yet, I hope you will stay with me in anticipation of many good years to come.

I have been writing for you and for me, and I continue to learn from the process.

Thanks for reading and please stay tuned.

Thank you so much for every one of your 800 posts! They have been so helpful to me as I navigated my way through a forced early retirement (I had to return to take care of my father) and living in the USA after twenty years of living in Southeast Asia. My husband and I also just enjoyed reading Seth's travel report from Indonesia today. He certainly knows how to make the most of the part of the world we have called home for many years after we met there in 1967 as Peace Corps volunteers. I love his writing style and I see a bit of your voice in his writing. You are both wonderful human beings, sharing so much in such a wonderful way. Again, thank you. I wish you all the best and look forward to 800 more interesting, funny, and inspiring posts.

Dear Liz,
Thank you so much for your kind words about me (and Seth). Of course, I am very proud of him. If you see the paper copy of next Sundays NYTimes, the cover story is his-about his time in Indonesia.
Again, my thanks--you made my day.
All the best,
Judy

Congratulations. I really enjoy your blog; it's short, readable and always to the point. 800 is pretty impressive. Have you thought of replying to the comments? Sometimes I feel I'd like a response.
